"The Dune Sketchbook" runs a whopping 100 minutes across just nine tracks. It features all the trademark Hans Zimmer flourishes and thunderous drums. These extended cues feature huge swathes of arpeggiated synthesizers, vocal chants and booming bagpipes, the moods range from ethereal to menacing, melancholic to mournful and always become enormously dramatic, loud and disorienting (sometimes all within the same cue), it is truly an epic for our times and proves once again that Hans Zimmer is one of the greatest composers alive today.
