As huge fans of Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal (1982), Weta Workshop is thrilled to delve into the world of Thra and create premium collectibles for this iconic film. The Skeksis have been separated from their other halves, the urRu, for too long; only by repairing the Crystal of Truth can balance be restored to the world of Thra. It falls to Gelfling Jen and Kira, the last of their kind, to fulfill the ancient prophecy. Together they must overcome the dangers and deceptions placed before them by the evil Skeksis. "When the triple sun shines alone, what was divided and undone will be whole, the two made one by Gelfling hand or by neither.
In a hidden valley, lost in time, a Gelfling boy is raised and taught by mystic sages.
Product Features:
- 1:6 scale;
- Describes the last of the Gelfling, the hero raised in the mystic.
- Clay sculpted by Brigitte Wuest;
- Sculpted from photos of the original puppet from The Dark Crystal (1982);
- Holding a shard of the Dark Crystal;
- Basic shape that fits with companion Kira when displayed side by side;
- High quality polystone.
SPECIAL BASE DESIGN
The three circular bases of varying sizes from our 1:6 scale Dark Crystal range represent the Three Suns in the skies of Thra: the Dying Sun, the Pink Sun, and the Great Sun. The exterior features familiar iconography from the floor of the Crystal Chamber. Spot the urSkek symbols, which have since been used as symbols of discord and aggression by the Skeksis.
