Driven by an obsession with plants, botany, and extreme environmentalism, and a desire to save the world from the evils of man at all costs, Pamela is a genius scientist and metahuman with hybrid plant DNA, using mutant plants, pheromones, and toxins from plants and her own blood for her criminal activities. Completely aware of her beauty, enhanced by pheromones and a unique biology, Poison Ivy is depicted as a seductive sociopath who believes it is her duty to protect the greenery, even though her methods are destructive.
