Lord of the Rings QS Series Statue 1/4 The Witch-King of Angmar John Howe Signature Edition 93 cm

DarkSide Collectibles Studio proudly presents the first statue in the Morgoth collection, The Which-King of Angmar Signature Edition by John Howe. The statue marks the beginning of a wondrous adventure in the realms of Middle-earth featuring legendary Tolkien artist John Howe, whose knowledge and expertise laid the foundation for the iconic character's development. Second in command to the Dark Lord Sauron, the Witch-king of Angmar was once a mortal king of Men. He was corrupted by one of the nine Rings of Power, becoming an immortal wraith in Sauron's service. The Witch King is posed based on the iconic Battle of the Pelennor Fields scene, holding his sword in his right arm and his skull crusher in his left, ready to face Eowyn. Fully sculpted, the costume was developed with high precision and features extraordinary details in the character's fabric and armor elements. An alternate right hand holding the Witch King's flaming sword can be used for alternative character displays. The statue stands on a highly detailed base designed with reference to John Howe's original artwork of Minas Morgul and features the walls of the Witch-king's base of operations. The Lord of the Rings cannot exist without the presence of a ring of power. The ring of power, given to Men by Annatar, encircles the walls of Minas Morgul, sealing the Witch-king's fate. On top of the base, a highly detailed removable sword and helmet of King Theoden represent the last of the Witch King's victims, completing the lore behind the creation, "life," and final slaying of the mortal figure. A hand-signed art print by Mr John Howe completes the stunning presentation. The Signature Edition series will be produced in very limited numbers. Limited to 250 pieces.
