The Highland Velociraptors of Isla Sorna appear quite different from those seen in the first two films. These raptors appear to have undergone further biological evolution in laboratory skulls; their skulls are longer and feature prominent crests on the nasal bones, traits absent in previous variants and in the fossil representations shown in the series. As with the previous species, sexual dimorphism is present. Females are beige with black markings and have yellow eyes. Unlike males, their head crests are smaller and lack the red coloration. Both sexes have rounded pupils.
