Based on the 1974 novel by Peter Benchley, Jaws became widely considered one of the greatest film successes. Universal Studios' Jaws Ride first debuted in 1990 in Orlando, Florida. With a $45 million installation budget, the ride quickly became a well-known attraction at the park, and another installation later opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2001. The suspended shark in Orlando, a second place to none, became a tribute to the history of the great film.
