The Library Ghost, also known as the Librarian, was the spirit of a librarian and the first ghost encountered by the Ghostbusters. She appears to be an unusual reader, stacking books in the air, and even makes an appearance in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. She continues to roam the shelves of the New York Public Library, organizing books and shushing noisy patrons with a bony finger to her lips. Many believe she still resembles the same polite and kind woman she was in life.
