This limited-edition collectible will be produced only for the 40th anniversary, featuring five fully transforming lions that come together to form Voltron, Defender of the Universe! Each lion will have light-up eyes, activated by a unique magnetic key.
When assembled, Voltron stands on an updated light-up electronic base, featuring a sequenced transformation sound file that is officially licensed by legendary voice actor Neil Ross. Built into the base are storage locations for all five of the lions’ individual weapon blades. Voltron’s sword and shield are also included.
Additionally, the upcoming VOLTRON 40TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTOR'S SET will feature contributions from the original designer of VOLTRON, legendary Toy Mechanic Designer Katsushi Murakami! Murakami, former CEO of toy companies POPY and Bandai, is known for his designs for historic toy lines such as CHOGOKIN, SUPER SENTAI, BEAST KING GOLION, and ARMOURED FLEET DAIRUGGER XV.
