"The BISHOUJO series finally reaches its 15th anniversary! For this important occasion, Kotobukiya adds one of the greatest icons of Japanese horror to the HORROR BISHOUJO series: Sadako! Shunya Yamashita has once again lent his talent to style the delicate expression of this BISHOUJO. To honor the standard expression that fans often see in Japanese ghosts, she can be depicted with long black hair covering her face. To make the set even more luxurious, another replacement part is included that shows a beautiful eye with a seemingly lonely expression peeking out from under her hair. With these expressions, fans can select the level of horror they want for this statue. Her iconic white dress uses transparent parts to recreate the look of skin showing through a thin garment after bathing in the well water. Her fingernails and toenails are separated from the scratches and scrapes inside the well, creating a painted style that almost looks like a red manicure. The design depicts a scene where Sadako appears to float using her strong psychic powers, hovering above a stack of video cassettes. The immense amount of unrolled tape that is pushed out of the cassettes can also be freely arranged around the statue. For extra decoration, two spare rolls of tape are included wrapped inside a video cassette-style box, so fans can use as much or as little as they like to decorate this piece.
