    Product description

The 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings films holds special significance for us here at the seminar, and we're delighted to commemorate the upcoming event with a brand-new set of iconic Midlands characters. Let the celebrations begin! With the loss of Gandalf and the breakup of the Fellowship, many would be forgiven for falling into despair, but not Aragorn. Most would call him a fool's errand, chasing the roving band of Elite Uruk-Hai to rescue Merry and Pippin, but not Aragorn. Brave, tenacious, and kind-hearted, Aragorn has once again demonstrated the valor and strength of his character, cementing his position as a defender of peace within Middle-earth. While Frodo and Sam slowly make their way to Mordor through the labyrinth Emyn Muil, Merry and Pipin are prisoners of the brutal Uruk-Hai. Uprooted during the raid on Amon Hen, the hobbits are strung like baggage on the broad backs of the unstable Uruks, racing day and night across the broken hills and rolling tiles of Rohan. Faced with a choice of who to follow, Aragorn chooses to release the ring of power into Frodo's care, vowing instead to pursue Merry and Pippin's kidnappers and save the hobbits, if he can. With him go Gimli and Legolas: man, dwarf, and elf. Three kin united in purpose; three hunters, whose pursuit across the plains would become the stuff of legend and song for years to come. Barely pausing for breath as he pounds a relentless pace across the plains, Aragorn leads his friends over rock and grass, shattered by iron boots, unwavering in his determination to race along their quarry. Yet the chase drags on; where orcs might usually seek refuge from the sun, these run fearlessly under the open sky, driven by an unseen force... for the great powers have begun to stir in Middle-earth. As war looms and the race to protect the Ring accelerates, the enemy's reach grows ever closer. Dimensions: 21 x 32.5 x 21 cm
