In a hole in the ground lived a hobbit. Not a dirty, damp, dirty hole. It was a hobbit hole, and that means comfort.
Bright round doors in summery hues dot the lush, grassy hills of Hobbiton like wildflowers. Behind each door, comfortably furnished burrows snake through the land, each home to a hobbit, or a family of the Shire’s little rosy-cheeked inhabitants.
Each hobbit hole is unique, expressing the personality of its inhabitants in color and gracefully adorned with gardens, furniture and the rustic detritus of everyday life. Near the base of the hill, where the roads divide, is a dwelling with a blue door the hue of a cloudless summer sky. Ivy drapes a brick and stone facade and divides the front garden from a back door around the side of the grassy mound.
