Scattered across the grassy hills of Hobbiton like a bag of lost coins, the round, bright doors of dozens of hobbit holes glow in bright, summery hues, each home to a single hobbit or family of small beings.
As diverse as the rosy-cheeked hobbits themselves, each smial, as the hobbit holes are called, reflects the unique personality of its inhabitant and nestles into the hillside amidst a sea of lush vegetation.
If you turn right out of the main gate, Mister Bilbo BagginsTM would find himself facing the entrance to Number 36 Bagshot Row, the pretty blue-doored house of one of Hobbiton's most enthusiastic gardeners, with its courtyard filled with colourful flower pots.
Each individual dwelling, the Hobbit Holes lend themselves beautifully to a creative placement in your cupboard. With a flat back and a shallow depth of just 55mm, they can be placed on shelves, frames, mantelpieces and window boxes.
This beautiful little environment is an exact miniature replica of the movie set that can be visited at Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand. It was created by the same artists and craftsmen who worked on the film.
