In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Bright, summer-hued round doors dot the lush, grassy hills of Hobbiton like wildflowers. Behind each door, comfortably furnished lairs unfold in the land: each home to a hobbit, or a family of the rosy-cheeked little folk of the Shire. Each hobbit hole is unique and expresses the personality of its inhabitants through colors, gardens, furniture and the rustic detritus of everyday life. Beneath the opulent mansions of Bagshot Row and the sprawling Bag End mansion, Hill Lane winds its way through the lower slopes of the hill, home to some of Hobbiton's humblest hobbit dwellings. Number 2A, with its beautiful turquoise door, is one of these smaller but still beautiful holes. It's said that on a warm summer evening, the hobbit who lives there can be seen enjoying a well-earned Southfarthing ale. Each a unique home, Hobbit Holes lend themselves beautifully to creative placement in your cabinet. With a flat back and a shallow depth of just 55 mm, they can be placed on shelves, cornices, mantelpieces, and window frames. This beautiful little space is an accurate miniature replica of the movie set that can be visited at Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand.
