Adam Hunter makes his debut in 1991's Streets of Rage as one of three cops who leave the city's corrupt police force to personally hunt down the syndicate's leader. Along with Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding, he manages to defeat the syndicate's leader Mr. X in his headquarters. Adam uses a form of boxing with a large amount of kicks added to his moveset, more akin to kickboxing than true traditional boxing. For his return in Streets of Rage 4, Adam has become the most balanced character, with good reach, great mobility, and a new moveset that reinforces his boxing fighting style.
