The priestess then revealed to the young prince that his destiny had been set since his birthday, that he had been chosen to become the guardian and protector of Grayskull's secrets. Inside the ancestral fortress, Adam received the Sword of Power and with it, while pronouncing the phrase that could summon the power of Grayskull, he gained fabulous powers, becoming He-Man, an extremely powerful warrior, with unlimited strength, superhuman endurance, stamina, speed and agility, great intelligence and a highly skilled fighter. Committed to protecting Grayskull and Eternia from evil threats and the universe from evil beings, his greatest enemy is the villain Skeletor, an extremely powerful sorcerer who commands many powerful warriors as his henchmen and seeks to master the power of the mystical secrets of Castle Grayskull. Adam ended up fighting a hungry saber-toothed tiger that was threatening a green tiger cub. By simulating the sound of a Manticore, Adam scared off the predator and saved the injured cub, taking it to the Royal Palace so Man-At-Arms could heal it. The cub improved and Adam adopted it as his pet.
