An ancient sword carried by Gandalf the Grey, an old but powerful wizard and friend of Frodo Baggins. Glamdring, a magical sword, serves Gandalf in his quest to aid the Fellowship of the Ring. It was crafted by the ancient elves and is engraved with runes in the elven language that read Turgon Aran Gondolin, Tortha Gar a Matha Glamdring, Vigil Glamdring Gud Daelo, Dam a glamhoth, which translates to Turgon, King of Gondolin, Wids, has and holds the Sword Glamphing, Foo of Morgth's Realm.
