The Green Dragon Inn is the result of many hands working with patience and skill to bring a corner of Hobbiton to life. Every stage of its creation reflects the meticulous attention to detail for which fans know us and which continues to define our art. Sculpting the miniature world, where even the smallest features have weight, blades of grass and climbing ivy were placed by hand, while the thatch roof was sculpted strand by strand to capture the organic texture of the straw. Working on such a scale requires an eye for balance, ensuring that every detail enhances the inn's character while preserving its familiar silhouette. From there, the molding and casting process preserved every curve and fold, ensuring the sculpture would hold up in its final form. Layers of tone and color were then applied in the paint booth, bringing warmth and life to both the stone and wood. The golden thatch, soft shadows, and rich green of the Bywater gardens create a palette that infuses the rustic charm of the County into the finished piece. From sculpting to casting and painting, every step was guided by a dedication to authenticity.
