Product description

Established as the Catman character in the hard rock band KISS, Peter Criss is the group's original drummer. In addition to playing drums, Criss also sang on some of the band's most popular songs, such as "Beth" (a co-write he wrote, which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100), "Black Diamond," "Hard Luck Woman," and "Nothin' to Lose," among others. With fists raised and drumsticks in hand, the feline band member prepares to thunder on his drums in the "Peter Criss aka The Catman - KISS - Art Scale 1/10" statue by Iron Studios, featuring a look inspired by the cover of the 1975 album Alive!, considered by many to be one of the greatest live albums of all time! From their inception in 1973 in New York City, co-founding leaders Paul Stanley (vocals and guitar) and Gene Simmons (vocals and bass), along with Ace Frehley (guitar and vocals) and Peter Criss (acoustic drums, percussion, and vocals) took on the personas of The Demon (Simmons), Starchild (Stanley), Spaceman (Frehley), and Catman (Criss), aligning their respective visual designs. The quartet of musicians, wearing bold black leather costumes, boots with enormous platform heels, and dramatic makeup inspired by Japanese Kabuki theater, like nocturnal creatures dressed to kill, changed the concept of musical entertainment with their elaborate stage shows, featuring flaming guitars, spitting fire and blood, pyrotechnics, and other effects. KISS had one of the greatest cultural impacts of the 1970s, changing the concepts of music and entertainment, becoming historically significant not only within the context and world of rock 'n' roll, but also influencing new artists and groups from other musical styles across many segments. KISS was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2014, joining the ranks of the most recognized and influential artists who have had a major impact on the pop and rock industries. With 30 gold records and over 103 million albums sold worldwide, the band continues to perform in full makeup, featuring Stanley and Simmons from the original lineup. No other band has leveraged their image or marketing better, adapting to the Marvel comics, where the character Criss, along with the other members of the KISS band, received superpowers from a magician. In the comics, Catman has superhuman strength and agility, as well as excellent fighting skills, which improve with experience. Get a detailed look at the band's other original lineup members, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Ace Frehley, all available for pre-order. Dimensions: 22 cm
