    Product description

Established as the Catman character in the hard rock band KISS, Peter Criss is the group's original drummer. In addition to playing drums, Criss has also sung some of the band's most popular songs, such as Beth (co-written by him, the song peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100), Black Diamond, Hard Luck Woman, Nothin' to Lose among others. With his fists raised while holding his drumsticks, the feline band member prepares to make his drums thunder in the "Peter Criss aka The Catman - Kiss - Art Scale 1/10" statue by Iron Studios, with a look inspired by the cover of the 1975 album Alive!, considered by many to be one of the greatest live albums of all time! Since their inception in 1973 in New York City, co-founding leaders Paul Stanley (vocals, guitar) and Gene Simmons (vocals, bass), along with Ace Frehley (guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (acoustic drums, percussion, vocals) have taken on the personas of The Demon (Simmons), Starchild (Stanley), Spaceman (Frehley), and Catman (Criss), aligning their respective look designs. The quartet of musicians, who wore bold black leather costumes, boots with enormous stiletto heels, and dramatic makeup inspired by Japanese Kabuki theater, as nocturnal creatures dressed to kill, changed the concept of musical entertainment with their elaborate theatrics, including flaming guitars, spitting fire and blood, fireworks and other effects, the band KISS constituted one of the greatest cultural impacts of the 1970s, changing the concepts of music and entertainment, becoming historically significant not only in the context and world of Rock 'n' roll, but also influencing new artists and bands of other musical styles in many segments. KISS was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2014, joining the most well-known and influential artists who have had a major impact on the pop and rock industry. With 30 gold records, more than 103 million albums sold worldwide, the band continues to perform in full makeup, featuring Stanley and Simmons from the original lineup. No other band has better leveraged its image or marketing, adapting to the Marvel comics, where the character of Criss, along with the other members of the KISS band, were given superpowers by a magician. The Catman in the comics has great superhuman strength and agility and good fighting skills, which have become even better with experience. Featured in detail in August's Inside Iron Studios Day, check out the other members of the band's original lineup Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley, all available for pre-order.
