Pickett era un Bowtruckle che Newt Scamander teneva come animale domestico. Sebbene avesse almeno sei Bowtruckle (Pickett, Titus, Finn, Poppy, Marlow e Tom), Newt era particolarmente affezionato a Pickett e lo portava persino in giro nella tasca superiore, prima perché Pickett aveva il raffreddore e aveva bisogno di calore corporeo, e poi perché Pickett aveva problemi di attaccamento.
