To escape the flames of the explosion, Alec stumbled into a nearby swamp where he mutated into the strange hero known as the Swamp Thing! Swamp Thing has superhuman strength and the ability to regenerate any part of his body. He can also command plants to do his bidding and change places instantly, inhabiting vegetation anywhere in the world.
