"The public needs something stronger than a good love story. So why shouldn't I write about monsters?" - Mary Shelley (Bride of Frankenstein, 1935)
Sideshow presents the Bride of Frankenstein Premium Format™ Figure, an officially licensed Universal Monsters collectible. This detailed polystone statue is a vibrant, full-color tribute to Elsa Lanchester's performance as the monster's iconic companion in The Bride of Frankenstein (1935).
Though her screen time lasted only a few minutes, The Bride of Frankenstein has been immortalized in horror cinema for her striking appearance and piercing scream. Sideshow is proud to offer collectors a stunning new quarter-scale rendition of the Bride, fully sculpted to capture the overwhelming drama of her white gown and bandages. Freshly awakened and revealed to the monster, she stands on the rickety wooden floor of Henry Frankenstein's laboratory.
To better understand Elsa Lanchester's unforgettable screen presence, The Bride of Frankenstein Premium Format™ Figure includes two detailed portraits that bring the cinematic history to life in true behind-the-scenes style. Based on the actual colors of the wig worn in the production, the Bride has red hair with white streaks at both temples, accented with pearlescent paint to emphasize the shock value of that memorable style. Capture her wide-eyed confusion and curiosity with her neutral expression or unleash a horrified hiss and display her screaming expression. Each portrait is finished with a pale complexion and her striking yet subtle application of makeup.
Pair this high-end Universal Monsters statue with other versions sold separately in the Sideshow Collection, including the Frankenstein Premium Format™ Figure based on the 1931 film Frankenstein, for the ultimate tribute to horror in your home.
