A boy carries an unusual friend in his bicycle basket, wrapped in a white sheet: a small alien lost on Earth and pursued by government forces. On their flight to find their companions and return to his own world, the two friends race toward a California forest, where the spacecraft that will rescue him is scheduled to land. To escape a police stop, the little alien uses his telekinetic abilities to levitate the bike, lifting it into the air and soaring through the trees toward their destination. This anthological scene, set against the moon, was also used in the film's promotion, becoming one of the most recognizable and striking images in cinema, even becoming the logo of Amblin Entertainment, Steven Spielberg's film production company, and now of EtET - Iron Studios.
